Who We Are:
Dr. Sarah M. Adams
The most effective change agents are already embedded in the people, communities, and organizations facing the challenges leadership tries to solve.
My journey testifies to this truth. My early academic roots were in theology and catechetics. After a 25-year hiatus, I took a risk and went back to school, recently earning my Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership. My favorite expression of leadership is generative— nurturing and listening to the human experience while holding the tension of long-view living.
I live out this leadership every day as a homemaker, a peer mentor in a domestic abuse survivor group, a supporter of recovery programs, and a volunteer investing in local public education and charities. Through my time and presence, I focus on weaving the spiritual, reflective modalities of "being" back into how we think about authority.
In a world that often ignores the value of everyday living, I have found that the rawness of human experience is where sterile theories, ideologies, and theologies fade. Embracing this chaos grounds us in what truly matters for lasting change: truth born of honesty, beauty born of openness, and goodness born of willingness. This is the framework that inspires and guides catechesis.live! Let’s start living.
